Volunteering...Does a Body Good!

Our Volunteers range in age from 37 to 90. They are retirees, widows, young moms, married couples, all looking to make new friends, have new experiences and make a difference for others at the same time.

Volunteering with the Village is different.  There are a number of different ways you can get involved.  You can:

  • assist members: by making small home repairs or replacing light bulbs, providing  rides to appointments, making friendly calls or helping with groceries, etc
  • help in the office: by making calls, addressing envelopes, or answering phones, assembling packets, etc
  • participate on committees: and help with governance and program structure
  • help create and host activities and events:  health and wellness workshops, cooking classes, art activities, walking groups, zoom gatherings, etc.

There is no set schedule.  There is no expectation or time commitment.  When a member has a need or a request, you will get an email.  If you can help, you simply sign up to help.  If you can't, it's ok! Maybe you'll be able to help with the next one.
